Young Adventurers - Curious Crawlers
January 28, 2026
FREE ADMISSION
Space is limited, and participation is available while supplies last. Activity supplies are reserved for registered participants.
Crawl into IMAS and discover the world of wonderful bugs. Young Adventurers will enjoy a buggy themed story time and an up-close Insect talk in the MPU Biozone Lab. Continue the fun outdoors with their own bug catcher kit and complete a small take home craft.
Our IMAS Educators will lead hands-on activities that introduce young learners to the exciting world of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, & Math). Through play and exploration, children will develop essential problem-solving and motor skills, while fostering critical thinking and observation abilities. Together with their guardians, young adventurers will discover the wonders of nature and gain an early appreciation for STEAM concepts.
Young Adventurers sponsored by PNC Bank
Best of all, these workshops are completely free to attend, thanks to the support of the PNC.
In addition, this grant-funded program includes a limited number of memberships for qualifying families (WIC/EBT) and will be issued during Young Adventurer workshop days.

This is a great way to learn how to identify plants, birds, and other Rio Grande Valley wildlife. Connect with nature during our weekly "Walk With A Naturalist" program. Guests will be guided for a short walk through the gardens and forest of Quinta Mazatlan, learning about local plants and animals with a park naturalist

Enjoy an evening filled with creativity, light snacks and refreshments as we create vision boards and set our intentions for 2026.
